Went out in my uncle's boat in the no wake area from about 6am -12:30pm. Cold, rainy and windy. Water temp read 71 so we were feeling pretty optimistic for a little while but the cold front was just too much. We managed to get 1 decent sized largemouth in the boat and another shook off. Both on soft plastic crawdads.

I woke up at 4:30 AM on Saturday with the plan of going to Blue Marsh; but once I walked outside the house I made a quick decision and said no. With that wind and 30 degree temp drop I felt as though the action would be non-existent. So I went back in the house, made some coffee and breakfast and headed to a pond around 8:00 Am. I ended up catching 21 Bass from the pond in a little over two hours. I was planning on BM yesterday but opted to head to Chambers instead. Looks like both of those lakes were very crowded yesterday. I do need to get back out on the BM though to run the motor a little more. Plus if we can get some stable weather the action should pick right back up on the lake again. I really need to hunt down some smallies on the lake; but I hear those LM calling my name.

Haha well we probably should have made the same decision you did. The action was definitely non-existent. Just getting some consistent temps would help a lot.
