as long as its a paper tourney and no money involved, we wouldn't need a permit. But if its a bigger group with some organization, questions might be asked. Better safe than sorry with the folks that run the lake. Plus, they may give us permission for something a little more official if we were willing to donate some time to conservation. I have a friend of a friend who might have some inside info so I'm waiting to hear back. Will post an update if I hear anything of interest.

Hay Frogman, why don't you consider somewhere like Blue Marsh ( much, much, larger ). The last thing Chambers needs is tournaments starting there. Its way to small to withstand that kind of pressure. Chester County Bassmasters hold tourneys at Marsh Creek EVERY Tuesday. Half the Bass you catch in August and September have half their mouth ripped from being caught so many times. Not trying to start anything, just my thoughts.

Are you looking at a Weekday or a Weekend? I would be interested.

In all honesty; as I divert much more attention to Blue Marsh I may have to pass this torch onto someone else (if anyone is interested in setting something up). I won't be a stranger to Chambers this season but I am going to really focus on BM. Maybe after a few tough trips to BM I'll have to come back to Chambers to get my confidence back up again, haha. I know the last time we tried to have a small friendly tourney on the lake I think we had a total of three boats show up. This time around it seems like there is a lot more interest and I'm not quite sure that lake can handle that much pressure......thoughts? But again; if anyone wants to run with this (tourney on Chambers) by all means; please do. From the response on this topic it's received a lot of interest and I think it's gotten a little too big over what I was hoping for. Chambers is an AWESOME little lake; BUT.....it can fill up very quickly to the point where it's almost unfishable.

Thanks frogman. There is no way Chambers can withstand tournament fishing. As you stated the pressure is growing every year as it is. I have been fishing there for ( lets just say ) some time now. I have watched the smallmouth disappear. Last year all you heard about was the crappie fishing and guys reporting taking them by the boatload. I'm just patiently waiting for them to complain this year about their size and or numbers. I would hate to see this happen to the largemouth. Enjoy Blue Marsh !!! Now there is an impoundment that can withstand some pressure. Are there still as many stripers there as there use to be. I can remember going over them and my fish finder would be solid fish. Catch them up in a cove busting on baitfish and it was a topwater bonanza. Good luck and tight lines.

As a crappie fisherman who posted many reports last year I would like to crappie are thriving well. I decided to cut back reporting this year cuz I noticed many non fisherman showing up thinking they can fish and making the experience less than fun. I myself threwback many shorts full of eggs and even many barely legal full of eggs. And I do agree Chambers is too small to get lots of pressure for any species of fish

I would be Interested as well. But if there wasn't room I understand...I would be up for something at Marsh or Blue Marsh if something was organized since there's more interest. Hopefully we can set something up...

I think this is a great idea to have some fun and meet some new folks!
Depending on the date, I'd love to be part of it. I'd bring my kids along.
Are you thinking weekend day, or evening during the week?

Hopefully we can set something up... Charles; have you ever fished the TNT's at Blue Marsh? That's my plan for the season. I believe the first one will be held June 20th. I just need more time out on the main lake before tourneys start. I have plenty of "spots" up in the no-wake but I have not had a chance to find any "spots" on the main lake. This weekend weather STINKS!

I have Not fished the TNTs at Blue Marsh, Only Marsh Creek. I know a few guys who have fished Blue Marshs TNTs. Basically a race to get to the No-Wake Zones from what I've heard...if Blue Marsh was Closer I would fish them but by the time I get out of work u wouldn't have the time to make it and Unload. I work in Malvern so I'm fairly close to Marsh Creek already.

At 26 mph most folks will be flying right past me : ( I know of 2 spots I really want to hit down on the main lake but I figured they would be taken pretty quickly. I typically work from 7:30-4:30 but I got permission to work 7-4 on TNT days. I think they start registration at 5:00 so I could easily change at work and be to the lake in plenty of time as it's only about a 20-25 minute drive from my work. Plus I'll bring the boat with me to work in the AM so it's ready to go. To get the Marsh Creek even if I left at 4:00-ish I couldn't be there until after 5:15 at the earliest. But hopefully I will get out on BM next weekend (both days) to start trying to find a few spots. But it sounds like the no-wake is where most of the action is right now anyway.

What time are the BM TNT Tournaments? I like the 6-10pm Marsh Creek ones. I bring my Boat to work as well and head right over. If you can you should try it a few times. Good turnout and there's always a good chance of getting into the money. Everyone is nice and it's great to get out during the week. I heard there isn't a Lunker pool at BM which also gives you another chance at Marsh. There are usually extra prizes for 4th, etc which are Baits.
