12/19/2016 Level is up some, enough for hardy souls to launch and main lake ice free.

Gonna try to get out this week with temps in the 40s. Waiting for deer season to come back might as well fish. No dogs to small game hunt

Just leaving now lots of skim ice. Small patch along the flats only open water. Had my fish finder only marked a couple of fish all the way right. They were right up against the ice and to far out for me to reach with fishing pole. Rest of the open water marked no fish from 14ft of water to shore. Either fish were out farther from shore or up under skim ice. I saw some diving ducks in casting distance tried fishing there nothing never threw the fish finder there just decided to leave

Got out on 1/21/17 - did not see any ice, and water surface temp was 38.5°. I caught 3 largemouth (all small) and missed/lost 3 others. Saw a guy catch a pickerel from shore too.

Did a drive by today and was surprised to see water level was up pretty well. The Foundation was totally underwater - maybe not by much, but definitely all underwater. Possibly surprised because of the low levels at MC. Super windy, stirring up a lot of mud/silt.
