Couple of notes of interest:
Fish commission has announced a 50% reduction of the cost of a 2016 fishing license, till the end of 2016. Resident license will cost $12.40, seniors $6.90. Please note this is for the 2016 license only!
Starting December 1st 2016, you can purchase your 2017 fishing license and trout stamp. You can also purchase a fishing license voucher as a gift for someone. The voucher allows that person to go to ANY license dealer to redeam it for a 2017 fishing license. Makes a great Christmas gift for the holidays!
Now the good news! 2017 Pa fishing licenses did NOT increase in price!! Annual resident (16-64) is still $22.90. Trout stamp is still $9.90. The state is still continuing to offer the collectable fishing license button at a fee of $5.00. A new addition to the multi year licenses, over and above the 3 and 5 year license, is a 10 year resident license and 10 year trout stamp. Price is $211.90 license, $81.90 trout stamp This is also available for non-residents. Annual licenses are valid from Dec 1st 2016 thru Dec 31 2017
Pa trout season opener, for the south east, area is April 1st. Balance of state is April 15th.
