WOW.....what an awesome day on the lake. I was surprised to get down there at 7:00 and only see one other trailer in the parking lot. I always think maybe everyone else knows something I don't when that happens. That was not the case this time, haha. It was a little chilly out but a hoodie was all it took to stay warm. Over the course of the morning I counted 7 deer, 13 blue heron's and also the bald eagle on the lake made an appearance. On top of that I caught and released 22 bass in about 5 hours of fishing. The average size on the bass was pushing 15" with the largest coming in at 18". To say it was a great morning on the lake would be an understatement. The lake level is very low right now; probably down at least 3'; the boat dock is useless as well. I had to beach the boat at the ramp. But the lake is looking good and the bass were hungry. I spoke to the other folks out on the lake and by 10:00 am or so they had struck out so far. But I did notice they were fishing shallow shoreline which is not where the bass were. I caught 3 of them shallow but the rest were caught in 7-8' of water. With the lake level down I saw a few very large stumps that I did not know existed in the lake so I certainly took a few pics so I can remember exactly where they were. The majority of the stumps on the upper end are high and dry right now but there's still plenty of cover under the water for the large population of fish that roam the lake.

Awesome! Basically the opposite of my morning at Scotts Run haha although I did get to see the osprey. Was not expecting any rain so I got a little wet but I stuck around thinking maybe that would turn the bite on. Had one short strike my swimbait right as I was about to pull it out of the water which caught me off guard so that didn't end well and then a few casts later a pickerel almost chomped the whole tail off my 25$ swimbait so I called it a day at that point. The water is still down there as well. Just barely comes up to the end of the ramp.
Nice new profile pic. That's a big 'en!
Edit : Sorry, I just realized your post was about Sunday morning and I was talking about Saturday.

Yeah; I got a little wet myself on Saturday. I always look at the forecast in the AM before I leave home and there was no mention of rain. So of course I did not take my rain suit, haha! If you look at my post from Saturday on BM you'll see that the action wasn't bad before and during the rain; but as soon as it stopped raining the action stopped abruptly.
