I haven't been out to Chambers in a couple months. Anyone have any updates on bass or panfish? Water levels?

water is normal, caught 2 decent bass the other day on drop shot and a senko. couple dead falls were producing good bass for me.

the fish caught on a dropshot for me were off the deadfall right beside the ranger boat, which is accessible and the other at the dam on the parking lot side in the corner. about 15' from the bank. guessing 8-10 ft of water. the deadfall produced the most for me. pulled 3 off that in about 30 minutes. lure 2ft from sinker.

i was just thinking about wading chambers and the best advice i can give is to look at the google maps satelite view of the lake and look, for lack of a better term, path thats in the lake. about knee deep, if that, right now. can hit lots of good water from it. i fished that exclusively for a couple years and always did well. just get out before dark, or you will get wet! the water on the damside of "the path" drops very fast. found that out the wet way.

I was out in the boat with the kids for the first time this year on Saturday. Fished from 2-6pm and only managed 1 10" crappie and 4 undersized (<7") bluegills. We fished in the same areas with the same methods that produced great results for us in years past. We really weren't marking any fish either, which was strange. I caught 3 bass on the panfish gear, 1 of which was pushing 15" and lost one decent bass on a crankbait. The fishing was pretty substandard for this lake IMO. I didn't get a chance to try the laydowns at all because I didn't realize they were there until we were heading back to the dock after the kids had had their fill of fishing for the day.
