Just remember this is a very SMALL lake. Don't complain next year, where are all the big crappies !!! These small lakes can't stand the pounding they receive let alone emptying out their numbers. Remember the smallmouth ALL GONE. Just my thoughts.

No keepers today did catch 2 mealroaches and I will say I myself throwback between 15&20 crappie every day that I measure 1st but fall short of the 9in rule so all them are definitely legal nxt year me myself I fish for meat not trophies or bragging rights but gladly take those 13in + when they come and remember in a lake to small crappie can get stunted in growth if it's too many

9 keepers tonight and it was slow I think we have hooked almost all the smaller 1s in the area and they refuse to bite which is a good thing plus they probably spawning cuz of full moon I did loose something huge just after dark most weight I ever felt on my microlight

Also I'm guessing I had many meal Roach bites just before dark cuz many times my bobber went under I pulled and felt no weight at all like the fish didn't have the hook at all in its mouth

Up until this cold front moved in, I was consistantly catching 12-14 inch White Crappie. Also had my share of keeper black crappie. The bite should pick up again once the weather gets back on track. Today ( Friday) was slow with one keeper and several throwbacks.

Ay Chad dart not asking for your honey hole but very curious where you catching all these white crappie? I know there is a few in there but I thought Chambers was mostly black crappie? And yes I know the different markings of black and white crappie. Black crappie have a round bluegill type shape and the male's turn very black when spawning where as white crappie have a longer body and I think bigger mouth but there males turn black when spawning also

I have gotten on the white crappie further out from shore, usually everyone is fishing tight to the shore and structure where you would typically find crappie during the spawn. As a guest here, I can't post any photos, one day last week I had a stringer full of whites, biggest was 14 inch, others were 11 inch or better. White Crappie are very distinct with the striped scale pattern on their side opposed to the Black Crappie that has a blotchy scale pattern. The White Crappie also has more fight in it compared to the Black Crappie. I guess I'm just in the right place at the right time!
