Good job - Did you find the two "Ledgebusters"(1+oz's) ? They were bought just for BM's steep banks.

Generally starts heating up mid April into May. I've hit them earlier but that is prime time. It's nothing like it used to be thanks to the white perch eating everything.

Sadly there are no good tackle shops left in Berks --- if you just want bait Terenchins(610-777-6003) is sort of on your way located at the intersection of 724 +10. I think they are still open I don't get that way much. Closer to the Big "O" is Finks(610-916-0166) which is located in Blandon on 73 about 2 blocks over the RR tracks on the left side if you get 73 at 222. Small sign the "shop" is around back in the shed.
Coming from Morgantown you could also hit up Kurtz's Hatchery over near Elverson sorry you'll have to Google that one yourself - I don't have Richards number handy.

They do have limited tackle but IDK if you'll find those. There used to be a guy in Reading that tied darts/hair jigs/flounder rigs/etc. that we sold in the shop back in the 90's. "Charlie Rig" is the name on the package, I have a few small crappie bucktails still in packaging but sadly nothing but Reading Pa on them. Tried Google but with my limited skills = nothing LOL.

Stop by our store, only 15 minutes from Morgantown, (that's the name and info at the top, who owns this board). We carry Locketts jigs which are all hand tied in Pa, as well as other brands of crappie/panfish jigs. Also full line of worms and minnows, and open 7 days a week.

Been having issue's for the past 2 months - got new meds and felt good enough to try some bassin. I must have got the weather wrong I thought we were getting a break. Brutal when the sun cleared the horizon(no trees at my spot) Wasn't too bad before daylight little breeze but that left with the sun. Missed one and had a couple of dink taps - jumped over to the other side of my rock pile and got a nice 16" football bass. Called it after a few more casts(OK maybe more than a few) before I melted.

With rain bearing down on us I forgot deer hunting and hit Ontelaunee for some crappie action. Not a good day....LOL. Had a few(6-8) dinks biggest might have been 6", but did get a 12" LM and a 6"perch so I had a 2 little suprises. Nothing came easy this morning.
