As per an article I found on Google from the Reading newspaper there is an area on Blue Marsh that is "known to local Bass Anglers" as the Muskie Motel. Apparently it is located on the east side of the no wake along a 1/4 mile stretch of a ledge. Does anyone have any clue where this area may be? I have my own ideas but it's only a guess; there's not a whole lot of possibilities though. I am thinking it may be around the bend down from the Old Church Road bridge; again, that's just a guess.
I fish for Bass (although I am happy with anything on my line) but I have yet to boat a Musky and would love for this upcoming season to finally be the one where I land one. From information I have seen it seems that a lot of Bass anglers tend to hook a Musky when using a crankbait when fishing for Bass. I just really want to land one this year and am looking for help. If this so-called "Musky Motel" area does exist please help, haha! If you don't want to share info on the open forum please send me a PM; I'll be more than happy to share info on Chambers or Hopewell in exchange.
I hooked a "smaller" Musky (around 28") down at Chambers two seasons ago but unfortunately I was not prepared (no net and no boga grip); but since then I have both on my boat at all times. I am thinking if I get another chance at one I am much better prepared this time around. Again; if anyone knows of this location please share or send me a PM. The paper made it seem as if this area is fairly well known (however this article from the Reading Eagle was approx. 10 years ago).
