Hit Gouldsboro yesterday...few perch and a few pickerel. nothing special. The lake is extremely shallow..hard to find anything over 6ft.

ice was anywhere from 4-5inches.. some spots we drilled in the middle where closer to 7.. yea id say it was worth it.. closest safe ice and tobyhanna lake is right around the corner.. lake is very shallow we kinda had to hole hop... didn't get any steady bites on 1 particular hole.. had the tip ups out.. got 2 flags but didn't hook up

all lake up there are about the same.. flat and shallow .. if you do some research on the PA state parks website you can find a topo for tobyhanna deepest spot 9ft...gouldsboro deepest spot about 10 ive heard... both lakes have bunch of pickerel.. from what ive been told theres some big perch in tobyhanna also it is stocked with brown trout. got perch crappie walleye bass in gouldsboro nice size pickerel too 20"+...
we were very spoiled the last 2 years... i would say give it a try.. never know if you dont go... i think i will be venturing to mauch chunk this weekend..

If chunk is good then I may head up this weekend as well. Don't believe those weathermen. They're just attention starved from the warm weather and lack of snow this winter.

I am just anti weatherman when it comes to them talking snow. Too much BS and induced panic from them. Ill stick my head outside Saturday morning and see whats going on. Somebody's gotta sell bread milk and eggs though right??

I did not see for myself but I was told by a trusted source that struble is frozen over. A few people were walking on the ice but not out very far from shore. No report on thickness.
