Struble is ice free today. A few cold days coming, but then warming again later in the week. I wouldn't bet on ice for fishing this week. Better head north for ice!

Fished Struble for 4 hours before the storm moved in. Bite was slow, caught small crappies and perch, regardless it was great to get out! Ice is about 3 inches but there are some clear spots that we avoided, just didn't look safe. There were about 10 guys out, some by the dam and some off to the left side of the lake. Hopefully the storm won't affect the ice and it will continue to thicken. I plan on getting back out next week, see you out there!

Let me know what you think. Weather man nailed this one. At least a foot and a half where I am. Also has anybody checked carpenters cove at all? If sturble is ok I would think carpenters is as well

I would like to go out tomorrow. Was hoping somebody else would be there too bc I didnt see the lake freeze before the snow. Was going to stop by gordons and hope for some waxies when they open in the am. Are you heading out there iceman?

Yes I will be going, I wonder if this snow affected the ice in any way? I also need to get Waxies, I scrounged some off of panfish when we were out Friday. Sure wish I had spikes!

How much snow is on the ice??Would like to get out on Tuesday, really not sure where it is safe? My buddies went out on a local lake and had 5-7 inches but not all the lake is safe. They put a couple on the ice or should I say SNOW but most are little. Anybody know about MC?

I'm hoping it hasn't affected it much. I'm sure it hasn't built any new ice since the snow fell on top. Maybe a lot blew off with the winds. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. I'll stop by gordons when they open at 9am and pick up some waxies then head over to struble. I'll grab extras

Change of plans Bassbum, I still have snow to clear before I can get out. Good Luck if you get on the ice, I agree with panfishin, lot might still be snowed in.

The townships and state don't even have the roads cleared off properly yet, doubt they are working on the parking lot. Anybody giving it a try, please be careful. Hard to tell what shape the ice is in under the snow.
