Might be driving to the north pole to find any ice this season. The entire NE is in a warm trend. Hopefully it changes in January enough to get us on some hard stuff for a few weeks in February. If not I'll be out on my boat jigging them up in open water

Not looking good right now is it. I think it was pretty warm last year at Christmas though and things can change in a hurry. Lets hope so. If not the boat is ready. Brianm is right. I have some friends that have done well in and at the vicinity of the Sass.

Looks like some cold weather is in store for us soon. Could we be on the verge of getting a late Christmas present??

This cold air moving in should start to chill the water in the area. Not sure if it will start to freeze up or not. When i was out on Marsh last weekend the water was 48 degrees still. Looks to be a starting point though, but temps soar back up towards the end of the week. Im starting to get the itch since trout fishing really slowed to a halt in the creeks and its a bit too cold to be out in the boat any longer

You need to call ahead for bait in the winter. If he doesn't answer, leave a message, he will always call back.
