Octoraro's launch has long been known locally for being rather draconian.(They once tried to collect a launch fee from someone who had put in up at the cream, and on another occasion tried to deny a boat access that had been there previously, claiming it was to small. The boat had been hauled in a small truck before, but the owner upgraded to a fullsize, so the boat looked smaller. It took showing them the receipt from the last time to let the boat on the water.) Do they allow inflatable boats like the Intex Excursion? I ask because I'm tired of being shorebound, but can't afford a solid hull boat, and I'd like to be able to fish the lake closest to me instead of constantly running to Chambers or Marsh Creek.

I don't see why an inflatable wouldn't be accepted there. I'm selling my inflatable pontoon if you're interested. Creek Company Sport LT. Used twice. $200. Disassembled it can fit in the trunk of a car.

I fished many times in an inflatable before I could afford a fishing boat. You have no problem using it on octoraro. I never paid either for the launch because I inflated it at the waters edge. Jim, the owner, never gave me a problem or said I had to have a launch flag or pay. I can't imagine you'll have any issues.
