Went to Octoraro with a friend of mine and started off the boat ramp to the left, caught a couple dinks around wood on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Then hit the riprap to the right of the boat ramp, caught a few nice fish around bushes on the rocks. We were casting spinnerbaits, mostly sunny colored with willow blades. My friends biggest of the day came off the rocks, about 3 and a half lbs. We ended the day in a cove all the way back by the bouys near the dam and pulled a couple nice fish out of downed wood in the cove. Overall it was my best day on the lake, caught 6 or 7 fish each. Anyone have any tips for smallmouth on Octoraro? I know that they are there but have never caught one.
