First time at Octoraro today. We went out from 9am to 7:30pm. Caught 6 all were 14 inches up to 18 inches. We had 3 more we lost at the boat. I really liked there. Big lake lots and lots of submerged trees. Fish jumping everywhere. Big cats swimming by the boat all day. Crappies and bluegills all over the place.....I will definitely go back again.

Would you mind sharing what lure you had the most success with? and what location on the lake?

Hi....I threw a ton of plastic. Worms and creatures. Mostly dark colors...Blacks, Blues and Purples. We fished both sides of the banks from the launch we started across the lake to the far banks, fished our way up to the pipeline than worked our way back down the other side. Targeted up and under the trees and shrubs and any lay downs we saw. There are a ton oflaydowns you don't see either but I caught quite a few of them. Hope that helped.

Spent time on the shore all weekend. Most productive was the second bridge on Spring grove(counting from the boat launch). Caught over a dozen small panfish on white jigs retrieved parallel to the riprap in about 3 feet or so of water. Nothing worth keeping, though. Anybody know if there's a good spot for slabs that's accessible on foot?
