It was nice getting out for the first on the ice! Most of the guys from last Season were out, good to see everyone! Caught numerous perch and crappie, all little ones but it still was great to be out! Hopefully the ice will hold up after Monday's rain.

Great to get out today for the first time this year. Had a good solid 4"+ ice and caught lots of small stuff but managed to get 2 decent sized perch and 6 nice bluegills to take home. I usually fish this lake in the am and was surprised to see so many people on it this afternoon, some riding their blade boats(not sure what they're called), some skating, but lots of fisherman. Hope the ice keeps for next weekend as I have a 3 day weekend. Keeping fingers crossed.

Was out on the lake again this morning. Stayed from 9:30 until 5:30. Caught lots of small perch, gills and a few crappie with only a couple decent fish. The bite was very light today. Lots of fish marked but not all the fish were interested in biting. Still had a great time out and it felt like a day on the beach compared to yesterday. I'm sure the ice will be fine for the coming week and into the weekend. Ill be back out Saturday. Thanks again for letting me fish with you guys panfish. See ya next weekend.

Hi guys. New to the site. I stopped by struble today to check it out and was really surprised how many people were out on the ice. Thinking I would look into any fishing reports for today is how found this. There was even a hockey game going on out there and Those ice/sailboat things were really flying.

It was great to be back on the ice yesterday!! Stayed in one spot from about 10 to 1 and caught some small crappies and a few perch. The one perch was a keeper but threw him back down the hole. No real consistent bait or bite for me. Kept switching things up and picked away at them when the schools came swimming by.
Planning on heading back out wednesday and definitely next weekend. Hope to see you guys out there!! I typically wear brown wahls bibs and an orange camo jacket.

Rain putting a hurting on the ice today. I looked at the forecast for the weekend, not too promising. Maybe the cold nights will help us?

I was looking forward to getting out tomorrow ( Tuesday). Tonight should get down below freezing. The jet Stream is moving north by the weekend and beyond, might be a short ice season. Where's the Polar Vortex when you need it! Anyone going out tomorrow??

Be careful around the holes that were drilled recently. I bet they got a lot wider in diameter with today's rain. I would think/hope everything will lock back up after tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night.
Panfishin - that was me talking to your buddies on the ice on my way out at 1 pm. Nice Auger!! $2.00 a hole right!!

I heard from a friend who was out on Marsh Creek Sunday, he stated the ice was 4-5 " thick. There is still plenty of open water. I'm going to check it out this morning, it didn't get as cold as I thought it would last night, today's temps should help. Wednesday might be a better day. I'll post a report if I do get on the ice today at MC.
