Saturday am caught 12 keeper crappies and 5 nice keeper gills. Lots of small stuff thrown in as well but a great morning. Also seems like I seem to catch 2or3-6 inch shiners every time I fish at Struble. Are these something they would use for bait at Marsh Creek for muskies? Going to try to get out Thursday and Friday after work.

Excellent Musky bait Tony. That most likely why there aren't any in MC

Fished struble on sunday from 12:00 to 4:30 and the bite was on as soon as we got there!! Things slowed down for an hour or two then they turned on again until we left. Lost a real nice one at the hole...kind of wish I didn't get to see it. Had some tip ups out and had one legit take, but nothing was there when I grabbed the line. What a great day to be out....cant beat ice fishing in a tshirt!!

Fished there today for a few hours. Bite was inconsistent, red hot, then pick a few here and there and then nothing but sniffers. Good time was had. Enough dinner fish was caught.

I am now convinced that the worse the weather the better crappie bite at Struble.

Fished yesterday for about two hours. 6 keeper crappies and 4 keeper gills along with lots of small crappies and gills. Fun to catch but they're only bait steelers.Only about 4 guys out.

Anyone drive by today? Has the parking lot been plowed? Would like to take the trip but I don't want to get stuck.

HA! That was me who pushed you out! Fishing didn't really pick up after you left. I fished from 5-1030. A couple nice crappie mixed with little guys. I only made it 100 yds or so from the lot. Pulling the flip over through the slush was absolutely brutal. May give it one last try tomorrow evening.

Much better tonight, lots of fish, better size. Probably caught 50 or so crappy. 20 decent size kept 10 for eating. Consistent bite all evening, around 730 till 8 was a great bite.
Probably my last trip of the season. All in all pretty good. Looking forward to some spring crappies!

Yes, Glow jigs seam to shine at night (sorry for the bad pun). Glow fatboys, bugz, spoons, teardrops...different nights different preference. But always glow. Now they make glow red and blue, mine are all just glow green
