The post of the 15th got me motivated to try the lake. Got there around 9. Lake was 66 and clear. Got 2 LM both 13" and 1 18' Pickerel. Got them all on a black senko in 4-6'. Beautiful day but had to quit at 1.

Nice work! With the water cooling, I'm hoping to get back there and target some of the trout I hear about.
I was on Hopewell late yesterday and landed 3 LM, biggest in the same range. Great day to be floating around French Creek.

Has anyone had any success targeting smallmouth in Scotts Run? I know that the state record was caught there but wasn't sure if there was a decent population that still lived there.

I have fished that lake for over 25 years off and on and never saw or heard of a smallie being caught there besides the record. There is not a population of them in there, the lake (more like a big pond) is too small, shallow and weedy for them to thrive there. That bass had to be either an accidental stocking or some bucket biologist threw it in there.
