Glad to hear you had success at Hopewell. Last year one early Spring day I caught 23 Bass on Square Bills in a matter of 4 hours. So it sounds like that pattern may still be holding up for early Spring this season. You also mentioned Bass on jerkbaits; were they hard jerkbaits like a Rogue or soft jerkbaits like a Fluke? I will be headed out this coming Saturday but not sure if I am going to hit Hopewell or a different lake. Any size to the fish you caught or were they all the typical 10-12" Bass Hopewell is famous for? There are a few really nice sized Bass in there; I normally catch at least one over 5 down there each season but its always a blast just catching numbers as well.

I will be taking my son out on the boat at Hopewell tomorrow. What is the diving depth of the squarebills that you are having success with? Are you fishing the squarebills in deep or shallow water? Thanks in advance for any pointers that you might give me.
