Just some food for thought on what can live in the Brandywine. I was casting a minnow bait a few years back in a deep hole about a mile down from the MC dam. I caught and released a 25.5" walleye. I've heard MC had walleyes years, ago so maybe this old geezer survived.

I have pulled the occasional walleye out of there from time to time over the years. Always in the late Spring, always 20"+. Not worth targeting, I have not seen numbers ever but a cool bycatch. Every one I caught was a female, some spawned out some not. I am sure there is zero spawning success in the creek itself but based on the time of year it seems the walleyes go through the same issue that the muskies do. They seek moving water to move into for the spawn and get stuck. I am sure there are remnants in MC lake. I did not see or catch any this year.

I used to live down in those cabins on the brandywine by the picnic park and I would canoe that stretch of river daily, and I have seen walleye in the brandywine several times. Could have been the same walleye, I suppose. But it was always near where the east and west branches meet, in that wide section. Don't know if it could have washed down from MC, that's Pocopson township down there so it's like 10 miles from Marsh or more. I have said it before, you'd be surprised what's swimming around in there.

Two or three years ago I was trout fishing Kerr Park and decided to wade down in the direction and through that railroad bridge area before Johnsontown Park and I saw what I believed to be about 35-40" muskie right there at the bridge. A good bit beyond that, I was fishing a hole below a fallen tree stump and hooked up with a just sub 30" muskie on DOUGH and got it to my net before it broke up my 4lb test line. At first I thought I had one of the big trophy fish they release for the derby that had found it's way down that far until it was at my feet. I did land a musky second week of July on Marsh Creek from my kayak, but again, it was a surprise catch as I was fishing for panfish. I'd love to get surprised by the occasional walleye as well

Yes, musky are still in the Brandywine. I caught a 30" on this year, on a fly. They are eating all of the smallmouth and not native to the watershed. They're coming from Marsh Creek.
