Just back from the Coatesville reservoir. About 4 inches of ice, less in other places such as by the dam. Geese keeping it open? Anyhow, marked lots of fish but nothing would bite. Another fellow there saw the same thing with his flasher. I saw a guy walking all over the lake but not sure if I would do it yet. I witnessed a guy do it yesterday also. When I left a total of 6 guys there. If anyone goes I'd stay away from the dam area. All, keep safe.

Was out on Marsh Creek saturday during the snow... not fishing tho just enjoying a walk with the lady. We were off chafing rd. We didn't walk to far out, but we did see a guy way out there fishing, Also some people playing hockey. Maybe ill have to give hard water a shot one of these days!

Got out yesterday from about 11:30 to 3:30 off of Milford and had a slow half hour then made a move to some slightly deeper water and it was game on with small perch and bluegills. They didn't want the Swedish pimple though. Had to downsize to a small tungsten jig tipped with a waxworm. Took my little grill out and cooked some burgers and dogs too..mmmmm...mmmm good!!
Looking forward to fishing some deeper water towards the end of the week. Gotta find me some crappies to play with.

I was out on Marsh Creek Monday until the wind got the best of me. Caught Crappie, Perch and Gills, no keepers but still alot of fun! Can't seem to get any Waxworms anywhere so I was using a small jig tipped off with powerbait.

Don't waste your time at Coatesville reservoir just yet. I continue to mark fish but when one bites it's either a small perch or a smaller bluegill. Talked to others that were fishing and they had the same luck. I did get into a couple of crappies a few days ago that I was able to keep but again, just a couple. Working hours dictated that I go somewhere close like the reservoir to get some fishing time in. Maybe I'll quit work and spend the days at Marsh Creek and Struble? Nah, couldn't afford wax worms then and most likely would be divorced. Weekend weather looks tough, in the low 40's if I heard right.

Should still be plenty of ice this weekend even if it reaches the 40s after this weeks frigid weather.
