Picked a few off at Struble , had great weather , a few decent crappie and perch , we will see if the weather will allow us to keep some ice

fished tonight, caught enough for a decent fry, 7 keepers two throwbacks. Didn't set the world on fire, but it was nice to finally get out

Went to Struble after work this morning. Marked lots of fish but they just wouldn't bite. Another fellow was there and experienced the same. Only caught two keeper bluegills and lots of small perch, but it sure was nice just to get out! We'll only have a couple more days until the temps climb to 60+ but hopefully after this mess we'll get more cold weather.

Het Tony a buddy called me and said he got into the crappie and a few bass there today. This work thing is killing me.

Got 10 decent sized bluegills this am at Struble. Just like yesterday, many small perch and bluegills as well. Looks like the end for a while as temps this Sunday towards 70? Not sure if I heard right but this warm spell is going to kill the ice for a while. On the brighter side, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Lake is ice free as of noon today. A little slush at the ramp, but no issues for launching a boat.

Hang in there! Looks like the temps will be dropping a lot as the week goes on. A low of 9 this Friday. Maybe ice for the weekend or next week? Keep fingers crossed.
