Does anyone any places to hunt deer with a bow. Private would be better. Ive been to some public State Game Lands and they are pretty crowded. I see there is a lot of farm land near marshceek. Any suggestions?

The best thing I can say is you have to ask around. I usually start in the summer and your best bet is to get a couple of places. Don't forget, the State Game lands may have many vehicles there now but most are hunting small game. This can be an advantage as they keep the deer moving. This may be all you have for this last week but again, don't rule out these lands, just be careful and good luck.

I would check out evansburg state park off of 73. Each time I pheasant hunted there lately I've jumped deer. Saw a small rutted up buck yesterday. Im sure it gets hunted but I haven't seen any deer hunters and only seen one small game hunter in my last 2 trips. Lot of deer sign along the river and in the swampy area along the fields edge. 2 parking areas on 73, then just cross the street. Beautiful piece of land.
