noooo. It's too early. This is pushing my ducks out. That being said I will ice fish if I have to. Looks like rain sunday around 50 and then heavy wind early next week.

Wow! You are one brave soul. This weekend will not make much of a difference. Besides after the rain it is going to get COLD!

Let's see you do that by the dam where it's 40 feet deep...I take it back, let's not. Were you able to break through? How thick?

Checked Struble yesterday, it looked to be capped, alittle soft around the edges with some funny looking ice because of the rains, wish i had my auger, hope to get out there in the next couple of days to check the ice depth.

This past summer while cat fishing I found some deep water by the dam. My depth finder was reading up to 40 feet. Unless my transducer was off( which is possible). However I don't fish struble alot with the depth finder. Or perhaps I'm thinking of Chambers...oh well doesn't really matter.

Fished Struble yesterday with some success. Took home 5 nice crappies, 3 perch, and a bluegill. Caught lots of small stuff all in about 2 1/2 hrs of fishing. Ice is really thinning, about 5-6" and not very hard. Access was a little hairy but at least was able to get out. From the looks of things, ice fishing around here is most likely finished. I was hoping not but the forecast says otherwise. It sure was fun while it lasted.
