Thanks Midnite. Considering the huge musky I lost the day before and talking to another guy that had encounters with muskys it might explain why the pan fishing was slow. No perch in its right mind would be around with all the toothy monsters swimming around.

Saw a few guys ice fishing the north end of the lake. Also saw people ice skating on ice that wasn't there yesterday. Pretty obvious since there was no snow on those spots. They were drawn to that thin new ice like magnet.

Went out this morning to Marsh Creek and fished for about 2 hrs. Only managed a small bass and a couple of small nibbles. No one else there.

Went down Chalfont road around noon, and there were 4 guys out on th ice. All were in one area, in the cove opposite and to the left of the big rock (on the other side). Saw a couple of panfish caught by them but couldn't see exactly what they were. Main part of lake is froze over to my surprise. Also a couple of guys were on Struble the last two days, fishing in shallow water to the left of the parking lot not far off shore.

Was at marsh Creek as well in the am. Parked at the cul-de sac. Nothing but small b-gills until about 9:30 but had to leave at 10. Managed a nice perch and two b-gills. I saw 3 guys at Chalfont but didn't see what they caught.

What's up with the ice conditions on Marsh Creek? Haven't seen a new post in quite some time.

Well I guess stating that I was going to catch them all was a serious over statement. Had to come home and take a nice hot shower to wash off the skunk that was all over me. Fished from 830am till about 2pm and didn't get a single fish. There were 6 of us, 20+ tip-ups and three jigging rods and nada. Wind was blowing some and it was chilly, but at least I got out. Ice was around 8-10" and solid. Combination of white snow ice and a nice underlying layer of good black ice.

Wow 8-10. Is park cove the cove along the main parking area with the gate?

Thats tough fishing arizona. Last year at that spot they seemed to turn on from 4 till dusk when the rangers run you out of the park.

What the heck is wrong with that lake? I been fishin my but off and have not been able to dial in on the pan fish. The muskies eatin them? over fishing? loss of aquatic grass? pollution? Aliens abducting them? I dont claim to be a pro but I can usualy catch them if they are there. Fished from 9 to about 5:30, caught 2 keeper pan fish and one muskie that went about 24"

I like the alien theory. I had a real tough time last year. You've hooked into a few muskies This year haven't you? Sure seems like there's a lot of them the past 2 years or so. I gotta get out there. I keep getting distracted by geese and foxes.
