Saw a guy icefishing struble today. He was pretty close to shore. Most of the lake is frozen but a long ways from safe. There was people icefishing marsh creek last week too.

Yea definitely. The wind had it wide open Monday, had to be open from wind Tuesday and it's glazed over already on Wednesday.

Struble is very iffy. Some spots are real solid but there's open water and puddles. Some of the ice is real rough from the wind keeping it open. I'm gonna wait. No sign of any ice fishermen.

Few guys out on the ice this morning. Everyone was staying to the left of the ramp. Lake opened up more overnight.

The lake is completly froze now, however not too many fishermen out the last two days. Most guys are fishing to right of the boat ramp, down about 100 yds from it. Couple of guys fishing on the other side of the lake to the right of the dam. Haven't seen anybody fishing in front of the dam yet, but a guy with cross country ski's went all the way around the lake , starting from in front of the parking lot. Only saw a couple of small crappies caught while I was there.

Forgot to post, but I was out sunday for a few hours in the afternoon and there were people ALL OVER the lake. Even windsurfers were out. Didn't see any body catch anything, and neither did I, but I stuck pretty close to the parking lot. Ice was between 4-6" most of the places I drilled holes.

Anyone been by struble? I'm guessing the wind kept most of the snow off the ice.

Drove by last night. The parking lot has not been plowed. I may try fishing Thursday. Im not sure my auger will allow me thought. Last Saturday at Scotts Run the layering of the ice broke one of my blades in half. Anyone know where I can get blades?

I was fox hunting on it last night. It was fine everywhere I walked. Although I stayed in shallow areas where I wouldn't be in any danger if I did fall through.

I went fishing on Struble today after I got my blades (thanks Chris). I only fished for about an hour. I caught a bass and a crappie in the cove to the left of the boat dock (as your looking at the dam breast). Pretty fun catching a largemouth on a size 14 marmooska and ultralight tackle. The Ice was fine the bottom three inches are clear and the top eight or so is not the best looking but still strong.
