Congrats......That's a really nice fish. Glad to hear you used a quick strike rig. I wish more anglers were a little more conscious of the damage that can be caused to bigger fish especially, with traditional live bait rigs.

I hear ya. Personally i like using the quick strikes beacause the fish are alot easier to hook. you dont have to wait for them to turn the bait

Is using game fish for bait illegal in PA? In many states you can not use game fish as bait.

If I remember correctly, panfish can be used as bait as long as they were caught on hook and line.

yeah thats what it says in the book you can use them but they have to be caught on hook and line and they have to come from the same waters you are fishing
