Hello,
I grew up on Marsh Creek in the early 70's and 80's in the neighborhood across the water reach from the park office (Waterview Rd) and had the most memorable fishing experiences in this fine lake. (I used to go to Gordon's as a kid and am glad to see it still doing well). I have lived in FL the past 11 years but have moved back to Chester County recently to raise a family (hence the name 2nd Wind). I am excited to hear from the Gordon's crew that the fishing is better than it was years ago, especially the size of the bass population. While in FL I fished some big bass in the Everglades and from what I am hearing Marsh Creek has some big boys now! Anyway, I am looking forward to start fishing the Crappy Tourney as a sort of homecoming for me as I love this lake and surrounding area that I have never stopped calling home. I just hope my crappie spot 11 years ago still produces (and no, it's not the Connestoga bridge!). I hope over the years I get to meet/fish with some of you as I plan to be active in respectively fishing Marsh Creek again.
Thanks, Chris

Welcome back to the area, Chris, and good luck to you fishing the crappie tournament. We just need the weather to co-operate, and bring those big slabs out of the deep water. Last year in the toun. we saw a lot of 14 to 15 inch crappies brought in, but 15 3/4 (don't recall the weight) was the largest and the winning fish. The winner took home $250.00 cash and a rod and reel valued over $150.00 ! We heard of a huge crappie that was caught that was 20", but was not weighed in! Bass fishing last year was fantastic. 2 to 3lb fish were common and 4-5 lb fish not uncommon. I've been in business for 27 years here, and this last year was one of the best if not the best years on Marsh that I've seen, for bass, crappies, bluegills and musky. For the amount of pressure this lake gets , this is almost too good to be true. If this to continue, please remember to, as much as possible, catch and release!...Ken
