Sorry, this isn't an ice fishing question - but you guys have the most active board and seem to know your stuff.
This spring, I really want to get out and get after the muskies in March Creek. Totally hooked on the toothy critters after some trips for walleyes/northerns in the past few years - and want to try and find some of that action locally. Looks like muskies at MC might be an answer.
Is it possible to get after the muskies by shore fishing?? If so, and ideas/pointers about locations?
Thanks All!

I don't fish for Muskie but...
I have caught a few in the spring fishing for crappie about ten feet off the bank. It's funny how they hit that little shad dart and fathead combo.
So as far as location. I'd say they are cruising around those schools of panfish that come into the shallows after ice out. Maybe not all day but they do come in for a quick meal.

most of my spotting of them and follows came within 15 to 20ft off the shore line they are either cruisng or hanging around the weedbeds, try throwing a booyah 1/2 oz white spinnerbait with silver and gold blade they seem to like that one or a mepps white musky killer hooked one last yr that was just over 40 in my boat but saw him a week before in the same area only about 15ft off shoreline. They will smack those baits pretty hard so kinda keep your eye on the bait they will hit at the last second.Good luck
